HVAC maintenance is very important! It’s hard to believe it is already February. Hopefully, the coldest part of our weather is behind us – especially considering that parts of Florida had record cold temperatures this year.
So to keep our spirits up, I wanted to talk a little bit about the coming heat wave that is Spring in Central Florida.
Few things compare to the heat that we get here, so being prepared for it is very important. One of the best ways to do that is by preparing your AC unit for heavy use.
Now is the time to call your HVAC contractor and have him come out and service your unit – both inside and out.
Make sure that your outside unit is clean and in good condition. Make sure that he checks the wiring, the emergency shutoff, and any conduit for the wiring.
Also be sure that the inside part of your AC system is in good working condition as well. You can test the fan on the inside without running the AC, It is also good to check the filter and stock up on new ones too.
By doing this, you can be better prepared for the coming heat!
